Business Transformation: Manufacturing
Assumed the project manager role for an at-risk project at a $3 Billion Manufacturing company and led it to successful implementation.
Project was to convert the company’s non compliant, antiquated payroll system that paid 12,000 employees and 3000 retirees to another platform. Project was several months behind schedule, significantly over budget, with business and project teams who were exhausted and at odds with each other. This required recalibration of the project charter, structure, project plan and teams and included significant interface with senior leaders/teams such as the President, Finance, Human Resources, and IT.
Implemented the system problem-free, two weeks ahead of re-forecasted “go live” date, and within re-forecasted budget with a project team and senior leaders who were thrilled. It became the most successful project accomplished that year for the CIO.
